Transparency...Bah!

Gibbs is killing me.  He can't honestly believe what he's spewing out, can he?! 

Has Gibbs even been awake during the past 15 months?!

The press was upset about a recent incident where the President left the White House without his press motorcade. Yesterday's press conference was "arranged in order to air grievances about breaking from protocol."

The press corps wasn't pleased, and the meeting with Gibbs was arranged in order to air grievances about breaking from protocol. Gibbs went on to convey he "was proud of the administration's willingness to share details with the public."

First, I don't believe Gibbs can truly back his claim about sharing details with the public. And second, how can you claim there is sharing going on when everyone on the Hill completely disregards public opinion? Especially to the degree this administration has actually ruled against the people.

No one is listening.  Congress still doesn't get it. In his speech today the President repeated that the vote tomorrow was for the American people.

"Don't do it for me.  Don't do it for the Democratic Party.  

Do it for the American people."

But I find a clear distinction between "for" and "to".  

If it was "for" the American people, the American people would support and back the effort.  

Instead, the vote is "to" the American people. If approved, the legislation will control our health care.
This legislation will change our lives.

Only 19% of Americans approve of Congress at the moment.  Don't tell me the vote is "for" the American people, when the American people don't want part.

It's obvious members of the House have been hesitant on the vote. 

Their hesitant because it's the wrong bill, wrong time.

Interesting Note:  Apparently Obama was feeling confident in the vote tomorrow and had time to focus on the NCAA tournament games this afternoon.  There is some speculation his late arrival to the meeting with the Democratic leaders of House was due to the nail-biting upset of St. Mary's over Villanova.  Mr. Robert Gibbs (bleh) was tweeting about the game at the time...read here.

Imploding?

It's coming down to the wire.  We keep talking about the "end game" but the supposed deadline (as imposed by Robert Gibbs...pah) is only a week away.  People are scurrying like mad. Consider these recent events:

People are literally going nuts --- hello, Massa?!

Pelosi is telling us she must pass the bill in order for us to find out what's in it---umm...what?

And we have Obama's Chief of Staff targeting members of Congress in the locker room wearing, well, nothing actually...he's naked (ewwwww...sorry for the visual picture).

What is going on people!?  You can't make this stuff up.

Even SNL and David Letterman are working their sketches around this chaos.

Can anyone say "FINALLY!"

It's like the end of National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation" when Clark (Chevy Chase) gets his supposed bonus, which is actually enrollment in the "Jelly of the Month" club, and he's already promised his family a swimming pool...whoops.  His subsequent tirade (which my parents always had to edit when I was a kid) and childlike tantrum with a chain saw is classic.

I think Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are getting their "bonus" this week...and don't be fooled...it was a gift from us - the American people.  We KNOW what will happen if this bill passes and we don't want it.  Enjoy the jelly instead.

Teleprompter > Hand? I don't think so.

Sarah Palin is getting some serious flack over some words apparently written on her hand. In fact it's taking newsworthy preference over the President's tanking poll numbers (which came out yesterday and are again, sinking).

Apparently Palin had three words written on her hand during an interview at the Tea Party Convention over the weekend.  With all the hype it's generated she should have considered selling advertising space on that hand...she could be making a killing!

Even Robert Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary felt the need to mock the hand at a press conference yesterday.  This is almost as important as national security, health care concerns and our record-breaking deficit, right?  Enough so to warrant mention at a press conference.  Gibbs is a disgrace.

CNN is berating the notes on her hand as hypocritical because she has been publicly harsh on Pres. Obama's dependence on his teleprompter.  Say what?!

Is this a fair comparison?  The President very rarely speaks candidly.  He has most every speech written in COMPLETE detail even to groups of less than twenty.  Poor Palin had three things written on her hand.  I can hardly call that a comparison.  Do you see this pic:

and he needs a teleprompter...

and a podium for goodness sakes.

I guess he really felt the need to impress his power and prestige over these young children.  I mean, come on, the teleprompter is a given considering his history, but a podium???  This made me laugh out loud. There is NO contest here.  Obama takes the cake hands down.

It's evident the liberals view Palin as a threat. These mainstream media outlets know she has the ability to inspire and rally the conservatives of this nation.  They are scared of her and will do whatever it takes to drag her through the mud.

The sad part?  This is their ammunition.  This?! 

The funny part?  Do you think Fmr Gov Palin cares?  Absolutely not.  She's probably laughing.
